method, in orderStep by step
- Torpor from bullets and arrows does not work. It takes damage from them, and dies from them, which is the usual way a
Rock Elemental taming attempt ends. - Hit it in the head with a large projectile —
Cannon Balls are the standard. Body shots deal damage without adding torpor, so they only bring you closer to killing it. - Trap it first so you get a clean shot at the head: metal dinosaur gateways in a semicircle, a natural rock pocket, or a
Paraceratherium wearing a
platform saddle with a cannon on it. - Watch for the head-shake animation, the same tell the
Titanosaur has — that is torpor going in.
Also true
- Inherits the
Rock Elemental's torpor behaviour; the head is the only place torpor lands.
