Lv 150 · knockoutHow You Get One
method, in orderStep by step
- Bring a tame you are willing to lose control of.
- Let the Noglin latch onto it. It takes the creature over.
- Ride out the possession. When it detaches, the tame progresses.
Also true
- Torpor-immune. Its own ability is the taming mechanic, which is why nothing you feed it matters.
Torpor
- This creature is torpor-immune to conventional tranquilisers. Darts, arrows and Narcotics will not drop it, so the torpor figures elsewhere on this page describe its stat, not a route to taming it.
Holding it still
That's the full list — nothing else immobilizes a Noglin, per the game's own immobilizer table (drag weight 20).

what it does and how you trigger it
- Bite Primary attack
The Noglin bites the target for 4 damage.
5 stamina · 0.67s cooldown - Brain Control Jump Secondary attack
The Noglin jumps at the direction of the camera. If it collides with a target of lower level than it, Noglin will brain control it for 5 minutes. *Does not affect Bosses. This action can be used while the Noglin is Encumbered.
15 stamina · 0.15s cooldown - Jump Jump
The Noglin jumps.
12.5 stamina - Stop Remote Control F
The Noglin stops the remote control from the player. The target under Brain Control will continue to be controlled by Noglin.
- Stop Brain Control Hold F
The Noglin stops brain controlling the current target and kill it on the process. The remote control from the player continues with this action.
- Shoulder Pet
The Noglin is a shoulder pet, meaning that it can be picked up and carried on the survivor's shoulder. From atop the survivor's shoulder, the Noglin is able to attack creatures within range, and it cannot take damage unless the survivor dies or throws the Noglin off their shoulder. While it is on the survivor's shoulder, the weight that the Noglin has in its inventory will weigh half as much to the survivor.
- Brain Hunt
The Noglin has an Engage Brain hunt option on its wheel menu, this option allows the player to remotely control the Noglin.
- Brain Control
The Noglin can brain control a valid target for 5 minutes by doing the Brain Control Jump while on Brain Hunt mode or by being launched from player's shoulder straight to it. Once under Brain Control, the affected will be part of the Noglin's tribe for 5 minutes, allowing its free use remotely. After the time ends or if a player from the tribe ends the Brain Control, the Noglin will kill it.
- Ignored by Turrets
The Noglin is ignored by both
Auto Turrets and
Heavy Auto Turrets. However,
Plant Species X still considers it a target.
