The Cave

guide

Glacier Hall is an icy and partly dangerous cave at the top of Blizzard Peak.

Hazards

What You'll Be Dealing With

assembled from what lives in this cave 9
Heavy carnivores
  • Ankylosaurus — Not aggressive, but its tail hits hard if provoked. Present for the metal.
  • Carnotaurus — Fast mid-size carnivore that closes distance quickly.
  • Daeodon — Heals itself and nearby creatures, so a group of them does not stay damaged.
Kill the Daeodon first or the fight does not progress.
  • Dire Bear — High health and damage, and fast enough that running is not an option.
  • Direwolf — Hunts in packs and gets a damage bonus for pack size, so the fifth wolf hurts more than the first.
Fight in a corridor where only one can reach you.
  • Mammoth — High health, and its stomp affects an area.
  • Megaloceros — Charges. Dangerous mainly for knocking a survivor off a ledge.
  • Sabertooth — Fast, and does enough damage to a survivor on foot to matter.
  • Woolly Rhino — Charges over long distances and the charge damage scales with the run-up.
Break line of sight or stand where it cannot build up speed.
Not a threat: Kairuku
Each line above is a fact about the creature and its own in-game behaviour — attributed to this cave only because the cave contains it. It is not a walkthrough, and it does not claim to describe the layout or the route.
