Argentavis Talons and
Metal Picks of any quality among them. - Once satisfied it turns into an egg and drops to the ground.
- Hold off five waves of Neophytes around the egg, the same shape of fight as an Orbital Supply Drop.
- Claim the egg, hatch it and raise it.
Torpor
- This creature is torpor-immune to conventional tranquilisers. Darts, arrows and Narcotics will not drop it, so the torpor figures elsewhere on this page describe its stat, not a route to taming it.

traps, methods & egg runsAureliax can only be tamed by hatching one from an egg, which requires a lengthy gift-giving process.
Approach an Aureliax and interact with it to mount it. Be wary that Aureliax soar high and never land, so it is recommended to use a fast flying creature such as a
Desmodus or
Snow Owl to reach it. Additionally, ensure no shoulder pets or companions are active, as they cancel the taming process. Lastly, bring a
Parachute or some
Tek Boots to prevent a nasty fall.
Upon mounting the Aureliax, it will request gifts. These can vary from
Argentavis Talons to a
Metal Pick, and could be of any quality - not just Primitive. After delivering a sufficient amount of gifts, the Aureliax will transform into an egg, which descends onto the ground and is periodically attacked by Neophyte hordes, functioning akin to an Orbital Supply Drop fight. Neophytes spawned this way are marked with a notification which alerts the player how many remain to be killed.
Due to the Neophytes' extreme resilience to creature-based damage, the best killing method involves controlling a Metal Sword-wielding Thrall with high Melee Damage, or the bleed effect of a tamed
Thylacoleo. Otherwise, running on foot with a good quality
Pump-Action Shotgun or Fabricated
Crossbow, along with
Flak Armor, should do. Once five waves of Neophytes are defeated, you can claim the egg to hatch and raise it. Beware the Aureliax baby's high hunger drain, which consumes whole stacks of
Raw Meat in mere minutes.
Once maturation is complete, tamed Aureliax can mate and lay eggs without the hassle of gift-giving.
