COSMOPHASISCOSMO
The Cosmo is a herbivore found on Astraeos. It breeds, so a pair can be raised for stat lines rather than re-tamed.

method, in orderStep by step
- Approach it while it is landed, food in hand.
- Feed it when it glows green; stand perfectly still when it glows red.
- Repeat until tamed.
Torpor
- This creature is torpor-immune to conventional tranquilisers. Darts, arrows and Narcotics will not drop it, so the torpor figures elsewhere on this page describe its stat, not a route to taming it.

Every number in this card is at official 1× rates, with the fastest food. Taming speed and food consumption multipliers change all of it, and most servers are not on official — the calculator at the top of this tab takes your rates, a Sanguine Elixir, and every other food this creature will eat.
Effectiveness is what decides the bonus levels: every unit of food eaten costs a slice of it, so the food that needs the fewest units finishes at the highest level. That is why kibble is worth the trouble — not that it is much faster, but that it is fewer feedings.

traps, methods & egg runsCosmo is tamed non-violently using
Chitin and
Plant Species Z Seed. The Seed will give significantly more taming progress, but it is not necessary, as you can use Chitin alone to tame them.
The taming process is a minigame where the player wants to play the old children's game, red light/green light. With Chitin in your inventory, go close to a nearby landed Cosmo. If it's growing green, you can approach and feed it your taming food. However, if it's glowing red, you need to stand still and wait. If you advance on it while it's red, it will make a disappointed sound, shoot you with a few of its charged webs, and run away. When you feed it, and it is not tamed yet, it will create some distance to play the minigame again. Repeat the process, and eventually it will be tamed.

Abilities
what it does and how you trigger it
- Shoot Web

2 stamina - Jump

- Shoulder Pet
Cosmo is a shoulder pet, meaning that it can be picked up by the player on their shoulder, allowing the Cosmo to attack from there if within range. It cannot take damage unless the player dies or it is thrown off the shoulder. While on your shoulder, the weight that the Cosmo has in its inventory will weigh half as much to the player. When Cosmo is picked up, a Cosmo Wrist-Shooter is added to the player's inventory. This "weapon" allows Cosmo to go from the player's shoulder to their wrist to allows the use of its abilities. Web maximum capacity is set by the current Cosmo level, no specific stats affect directly web shooting. It is not possible to increase web recharge rate, no matter the level. Charge Regeneration and Charge Capacity affect light charge used when shooting 20px Charge Infused Webs. Web shot damage is scaled by Melee Damage. When in shoulder mode, use the radial wheel to toggles Cosmos abilities on or off. 20px Threat Sense: Cosmo glows with a purple aura when nameless are nearby. 20px Charge Infused Webs: Debuffs creatures weak to light such as
Nameless and Reapers, disabling their natural armor. Cosmo can be equipped with helmets for extra damage resistance.
