The Cave

guide

Astraeos's piece of Aberration: a fertile-biome cave with Gas Veins, Green Gems and the fertile chamber's creatures living under the eastern edge of the map.

It has two entrances, at 22.6 / 98.9 and 29.3 / 100.2. The population is the Aberration fertile roster nearly whole — Aberrant herbivores to tame, Karkinos and Ravager to fight.

Hazards

What You'll Be Dealing With

assembled from what lives in this cave 19
UnderwaterHeavy carnivoresGrabs and pinsTorporAmbushSwarms
  • Aberrant Manta — Fast, and hits hard for its size, as Manta.
  • Aberrant Piranha — Attacks in shoals the moment you enter the water.
  • Aberrant Sarco — Rolls a survivor in water and is fast on land as well.
  • Aberrant Carnotaurus — Fast mid-size carnivore that closes distance quickly.
  • Aberrant Dire Bear — High health and damage, and fast enough that running is not an option, as Dire Bear.
  • Aberrant Gigantoraptor — Fiercely defends its nest and territory once provoked, and it is big enough to matter.
  • Aberrant Paraceratherium — Not aggressive unless provoked; enormous health when it is.
  • Aberrant Spino — A top-tier carnivore, stronger in the water than out of it.
  • Aberrant Stegosaurus — Not aggressive. Its tail hits hard and it has plenty of health, as Stegosaurus.
  • Aberrant Triceratops — Not aggressive unless provoked, then it charges hard, as Triceratops.
  • Elderclaw — A plant-clad bear spirit with offensive and defensive abilities; treat it with a Dire Bear's respect.
  • Ravager — Pack hunter that also uses zip lines, so it follows you along them.
  • Roll Rat — Not aggressive while it is digging, and it hits hard if you interrupt it. It also unearths gems.
  • Aberrant Raptor — Pounces and pins a survivor on foot, and comes in packs.
  • Karkinos — Grabs a survivor or a mount with its claws and throws it.
  • Aberrant Pulmonoscorpius — Torpor per hit, higher than almost anything its size, and it is fast.
Bug Repellant, and Stimulant for the hits that land anyway.
  • Cosmo — A jumping spider that webs, pulls and pounces; wild ones ambush from surfaces rather than charging.
  • Aberrant Iguanodon — Not aggressive unless provoked, then it drops to all fours and charges.
  • Aberrant Meganeura — As Meganeura — a swarm that interrupts rather than kills.
    Bug Repellant.
Not a threat: Aberrant Carbonemys, Aberrant Coelacanth, Aberrant Diplodocus, Aberrant Dodo, Aberrant Doedicurus, Aberrant Equus, Aberrant Lystrosaurus, Aberrant Moschops, Aberrant Otter, Aberrant Oviraptor, Aberrant Ovis, Aberrant Parasaur, Bulbdog, Glowbug
Each line above is a fact about the creature and its own in-game behaviour — attributed to this cave only because the cave contains it. It is not a walkthrough, and it does not claim to describe the layout or the route.
