GLOON
The Gloon is a herbivore found on Lost Colony. It breeds, so a pair can be raised for stat lines rather than re-tamed.

- To tame a Gloon, start by eliminating the Revenants around it. While crouching, approach the Gloon and shoot both eyes until it deflates and hovers near the floor. Walk up and feed it.

Every number in this card is at official 1× rates, with the fastest food. Taming speed and food consumption multipliers change all of it, and most servers are not on official — the calculator at the top of this tab takes your rates, a Sanguine Elixir, and every other food this creature will eat.
Effectiveness is what decides the bonus levels: every unit of food eaten costs a slice of it, so the food that needs the fewest units finishes at the highest level. That is why kibble is worth the trouble — not that it is much faster, but that it is fewer feedings.

traps, methods & egg runsGloons can only be tamed passively rather than the knockout taming method. However, there are a few requirements before it can be passively fed.
• Gloon must not be aggro'd by the survivor while its floating with eyes still glowing (crouch under to avoid its detection radius)
• Eliminate any Revenants attracted to the floating gloon without alerting the Gloons (the revenants will automatically become aggressive regardless once one is down), it is recommended to use strong ranged weaponry, such as
Longneck Rifle or Fabricated
Crossbow
• Pop bullets or arrows at its eyes to deflate it and lower it down until its within ground level.
Once it starts floating only within the ground level (notable by its eyes no longer glowing), it will not be aggressive anymore and can be fed passively with mushrooms, notably Kibble or Plant Proto Species R Seed until its tamed.
