- How to tame a Helicoprion: 1. Put a Little Ratfish Treat in your inventory (no need to put it on your hotbar). 2. Drop an item found in a loot crate (not something you crafted) — for example, a pickaxe. The Helicoprion will consume it and go into a short frenzy. 3. Use the action button to jump on its back and start riding it. 4. Every few seconds, you must press the specified button to stay mounted. 5. Repeat this 10 times and on the final time, you'll feed it one Little Ratfish Treat. 6. Repeat until tamed.

The Helicoprion has a unique taming method; you must drop looted quality equipment close to it. The actual quality or item type do not matter but it can NOT be a crafted item. Equipment produced by Gachas is also accepted. It will consume the item which will then allow you to mount it. It will then move around randomly similar yet more extreme to taming an 
Equus, and this initiates a minigame where you have to press a key/button when prompted. While the timing is fairly lenient, pressing the wrong button or nothing will cause you to become dismounted and the Helicoprion will become hostile. This commonly leads to being smacked with its tail and leading to death while unconscious. During this minigame, the flailing that it does can deal massive damage to creatures around it (potential to exceed 2k damage) so you will want to tame these away from aquatic tames you may have. You'll have to do 10 prompts before the Helicoprion becomes tired, the last command being the dismount button which will also feed it Little Ratfish Treats. Once fed, wait about 20 seconds then repeat the process of dropping a looted equipment, completing the minigame, and feeding until tamed.

- Bite Primary attack
Helicoprion bites the target for 50 damage. This attack allows the Helicoprion to turn on its own axis and do a quick attack depending on the camera direction. This attack inflicts x10 damage to armor durability and has 20% armor penetration.
5 stamina · 0.67s cooldown - Tail Swipe Secondary attack
Helicoprion swipes its tail for 70 damage. This attack applies Torpor x3 of the damage dealt instantly. Also the affected target gets Tail Whipped debuff, stunning it for 10 seconds and increasing its Torpor by 15 over the duration of the effect.
20 stamina · 2.25s cooldown - Jump Jump
The Helicoprion jumps above the water surface. This action restores 200 Stamina.
5 stamina - Switch Swim Mode Special 1
The Helicoprion changes its swim mode between 20px Surface Swimming and 20px Free Swimming: *20px Surface Swimming: The Helicoprion will swim similar to a
Wooden Raft, only swimming on the water surface without diving. This allows the jump ability and constant Surface Swimming Boost buff, which increases Movement Speed by 33% and lasts for 20 seconds after leaving the surface swimming mode. *20px Free Swimming: The Helicoprion will swim normally as a native aquatic creature.
- Blueprint Processor
The Helicoprion can convert non-crafted quality items into blueprints in its inventory. Its Crafting Skill stat represents the success chance. If it fails, the item will be lost. The conversion timer depends on the item quality, starting with 10 seconds with primitive items and adding +10 seconds per quality level up to 60 seconds with ascendant quality. Extremely high-quality ascendant items can take 2-3 minutes to convert. The
Helicoprion Saddle changes the Helicoprion inventory to work as a 
Smithy to craft and repair items. The Helicoprion constantly has Divine Spiral buff, which makes both the Helicoprion and the rider immune against 
Tusoteuthis grab and ink attacks, and also against the 
Ammonite's bile effect. Helicoprion also deals x3 damage against Tusoteuthis and Ammonites. - Weight Reduction
