- Shoulder Pet
The Ichthyornis is a shoulder pet, meaning that it can be picked up by the player on their shoulder, allowing the Ichthyornis to attack from there if within range. It cannot take damage unless the player dies or it is thrown off the shoulder. While on your shoulder, the weight that the Ichthyornis has in its inventory will weigh half as much to the player.

The Ichthyornis has three special behavior modes that affect the way it attacks small creatures: No Hunt: The Ichthyornis will not grab small creatures and will limit itself to attacking them normally.
