SINOMACROPS
The Sinomacrops is a carnivore found on Lost Island, with a drag weight of 60. It breeds, so a pair can be raised for stat lines rather than re-tamed.

method, in orderStep by step
- Put
Chitin in your last hotbar slot and let it come to you — it approaches on its own once it senses you. - After each feed it flies off. Follow it; when hearts appear it returns for the next feed.
- Walk. Sprinting or jumping spooks it, other tames nearby scare it away, and a Ghillie suit hides you so well it cannot find you.
Also true
- Wearing
Chitin armour makes them attack you instead. - The tame has to happen outdoors — it fails under a roof, in a tent, or on an enclosed platform.
Torpor
- This creature is torpor-immune to conventional tranquilisers. Darts, arrows and Narcotics will not drop it, so the torpor figures elsewhere on this page describe its stat, not a route to taming it.
Holding it still
That's the full list — nothing else immobilizes a Sinomacrops, per the game's own immobilizer table (drag weight 60).

Every number in this card is at official 1× rates, with the fastest food. Taming speed and food consumption multipliers change all of it, and most servers are not on official — the calculator at the top of this tab takes your rates, a Sanguine Elixir, and every other food this creature will eat.
Effectiveness is what decides the bonus levels: every unit of food eaten costs a slice of it, so the food that needs the fewest units finishes at the highest level. That is why kibble is worth the trouble — not that it is much faster, but that it is fewer feedings.

From atop the survivor's shoulder, the Sinomacrops is able to attack creatures within range, and it cannot take damage unless the survivor dies or throws the Sinomacrops off their shoulder. While it is on the survivor's shoulder, the weight that the Sinomacrops has in its inventory will weigh half as much to the survivor.
- Disadvantage When Flying/Gliding
Whenever the survivor receives any kind of damage, their Sinomacrops will stop flying or gliding and the survivor will need to execute the action once again.
- Weight Reduction
