Shadowmane can be used to get to the cave and also can help you after you climb the shaft. Rock Drake can also be used to get safe and stealthy through the water part and up the shaft. Desmodus fly up the shaft and skip all land-based wild dinos in cave. Deinonychus small and strong enough to help through the maze. Although not spawning on Fjordur, if one manages to bring a Sinomacrops to the maze it’s incredibly helpful because it can just fly over all traps and dangers.

The Nidisheim Depths are an Artifact cave with an underwater entrance in the west of Vardiland, the second largest island of Midgard in the Fjordur DLC.

Araneo — Webs you in place from range, which stops you kiting and stops a mount fleeing. Its bite applies torpor.
Kill it at range before it closes. Bug Repellant makes it ignore you entirely.
Titanoboa — Applies heavy torpor per bite and is quiet enough to reach you before you see it.
Stimberries or Stimulant on your hotbar. Two bites will drop an unprepared survivor.
